Laid the foundation with Yarn and Greige Brokerage
1985
Launched Arabian Weaving with Powerlooms & Yarn Texturising
Our first foray into manufacturing, as we set up powerloom operations and entered the yarn processing business under the Arabian Weaving brand.
2002
Acquired Hindustan Polyester Lines (HPL)
Expanded into synthetic yarn manufacturing by acquiring the Haryana-based POY yarn unit, unlocking upstream capabilities in polyester.
2005
Acquired JK Synthetics Unit, Kota – Arfat Petrochemicals Born
A landmark moment as we acquired JK Synthetics’ acrylic fiber and POY yarn facility in Rajasthan, launching Arfat Petrochemicals, now a key arm in our yarn portfolio.
2010
General Petrochemicals launched in Pipodra, Surat, Gujarat
A 100% subsidiary of General Polytex, this modern unit began operations with 120 Waterjet looms and 40 TFOs, further integrating our textile supply chain.
2014
Birth of General Polytex at Tadkeshwar, Surat
With 300 Waterjet looms and 120 TFOs, this unit became the heart of our fabric production — marking our transition into a high-volume, high-tech textile enterprise.
2018
Switched to 100% Renewable Energy
Installed 8.1 MW of Wind and Solar Power, powering all operations with clean energy.
